Recruitment to the Force

1- Deputation:-

(a) On constitution of the Force, for initial 03 years, all posts in the Force shall be filled by deputation of eligible personnel from Pradeshik Armed Constabulary and Civil Police on the basis of qualification/norms/standards prescribed by the Head of the department. The entire strength of women members of the Force shall be sourced solely from deputation. The period of deputation shall ordinarily be three years which may be further extended by a maximum of two years. The maximum duration of deputation shall be five years.

 

(b) On the first direct recruitment, the ratio of members on deputation to members through direct recruitment shall be brought down to around 70:30 level, after second recruitment it shall be brought down to around 50:50 level, and after third recruitment to around 30:70 and the  said ratio of 30:70 shall permanently remain effective thenceforth until the State Government decides otherwise.

 

( c)  The members taken on deputation to special Security Force shall be repatriated to their parent departments:

(i) On attaining the below mentioned ages:-

(a) Constables                        –       40 years

(b) Head Constables              –        47 years

( c) sub-Inspector/ Inspector   –        47 years.

2. Direct recruitment:-

(a) such male candidates, who are not physically handicapped, shall be eligible for direct recruitment to the posts of Constables and Sub-Inspectors. Save as provided under preferential qualifications below, the direct recruitment to the above posts in Special Security force shall be governed by the Uttar Pradesh Pradeeshik Armed Constabulary subordinate Officers Service Rules, 2015 (as amended) and all other Rules applicable to Provincial Armed constabulary for the time being in force.
